Dr. Boston purchased this pipe for resale from a French brand. It was probably made in St. Claude. Even though it says "Balsa" you can use a charcoal filter with it. In fact I recommend the 9mm charcoal filters because the draw and the smoke temperature is just right. This is a great round shape with thick walls which is also a step in the great smoker direction.
